NSYNC Comes Back Together to Honor Taylor Swift

NSYNC awards Swift: Best Pop Video, a nostalgic and memorable moment.

The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards’ first award to be given by NSYNC during the main ceremony was accepted by the 33-year-old pop diva Taylor Swift, who also happens to be a longtime fan of the band, flusteredly.

Before she even won the VMA, Swift could not contain her excitement at the sight of the long-awaited reunion.

Joey Fatone, Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, and Chris Kirkpatrick all emerged on stage together after they were introduced by host Nicki Minaj.

“Good day, VMAs. “More than 20 years ago, we were just kids when we won best pop video for ‘Bye Bye Bye,'” Timberlake remarked to the cheers of the crowd.

As the saying goes, “It was our first VMA and it meant the world to us — that award validated our hard work.”

Swift’s BFF Selena Gomez applauded as the group went on to award “the unstoppable” Swift with the prize for her “Anti-Hero” music video.

The group also gave friendship bracelets with beaded accents to Swift.

The Midnights vocalist admitted in the opening of her acceptance speech that she was finding it difficult to digest both the award and the reunion at the same time.

“I’m not doing well pivoting from this to this,” she admitted.

She fangirled, “I had your dolls.” “Like, what are you up to? What will occur next… I must know what they’re going to do since they’re going to do something.

“You’re pop personified, so to receive this from your golden pop hands is really exciting,” she concluded. It’s excessive. For the friendship bracelets, I’m grateful.

The singer continued by thanking her fans for enabling her to create music in a variety of genres while holding both her award and her new bracelets.

She ended her statement by saying, “I really love making pop music so thank you so much.”

Following years of international success in Germany, Self-titled US debut album of NSYNC launched them into pop superstars in 1998.

They ended their run with 2001’s Celebrity after releasing three studio albums, a holiday album, and a Christmas CD.

In 2002, the group disbanded, and Timberlake launched a lucrative solo career. Chasez, Fatone, Kirkpatrick, and Bass also pursued different opportunities in film, music, and television.

The band hasn’t reunited all that much throughout the years. The group reunited in 2013 to pay tribute to Timberlake and his Video Vanguard Award at the MTV VMAs.

2019’s Coachella saw another reunion as Chasez, Fatone, Kirkpatrick, and Bass made an unexpected appearance during Ariana Grande’s headline performance.
