Rail Strikes Could Impact Victorious Festival Goers

Rail company warns no trains during the music “Victorious Festival”.

170,000 people came to Portsmouth for the Victorious Festival the previous year.

During a significant music festival, a rail company has issued a warning that no trains will run through a city.

Service in Portsmouth, Southampton, Cosham, Fareham, Gosport, and Paulsgrove will be impacted by a strike by First South bus employees.

In the meanwhile, South Western Railway services on Saturday, August 26, will be impacted by RMT-planned strike action, which could potentially affect Sunday services.

The event will be held on Southsea Seafront from August 25 to 27 and is anticipated to draw 170,000 visitors.

According to Portsmouth City Council leader and Lib Dem Councillor Steve Pitt. “If you’re coming from outside the city, please don’t drive in; look for other ways to get in so we don’t clog up the city.”

“Victorious is now on the same level as Leeds, Reading, and Glastonbury.

Victorious has become a significant contributor to the city’s tourism industry, which is vital to the local economy. It has a major economic influence on the city, estimated to be approximately £20 million annually.
